PANIC Disorder

Panic attacks are sudden periods of intense fear that may include palpitations, sweating, shaking, shortness of breath, numbness etc. Most of the time, it happens because a person feels that something bad will happen and when the tension gets to the fullest, the other symptoms occur and the person gets a panic attack. There may be a fear of losing control or chest pain but attacks themselves aren't dangerous physically. The maximum degree of symptoms occurs within minutes, while the duration varies from seconds to hours. This attack can occur due to many disorders, including panic disorder, social anxiety, stress disorder, depression etc. They can either be triggered or occur unexpectedly. Smoking, caffeine and psychological stress increase the risk of having a panic attack. People experiencing a panic attack may incorrectly consider it a heart attack but it is actually not. Treatment of panic attacks should be directed at the underlying cause. Therapy, lifestyle changes, breathing exercises, and mediation-these four ways may help. The therapist has to make them understand that they aren't 'crazy'. They have to know deeply about what they go through and what they should do to stop it and learn how to step away from negativity.
